Silence without reason?

i and my boyfriend lives together for almost 9 years now .. i went to europe leaving him behind in our country... we had no quarrel had a nice talk agreed that i be back after a year... first month we had good contacts after that he kept silent. never go online in facebook i cant reach him by fon either. is his silence means a freak up and he found another love or fling?
