Poems....?

The second one is better since it has more of a poetical pattern. Some of the "couplets" (not official couplets, but if I will be allowed to call them that) contain different actions that would not be possible at the same instance in time. A consistent syllable count would also improve this. I would not worry too much with rhythm here.
