Do you believe that people who are unclean should wear cotton gloves while holding the Bible?

Here is the issue. If the Bible is holy, then what happens if it becomes unclean due to an unclean person touching it? Unclean, in my opinion doesn't necessarily mean bad. For example, if a woman is on her period she is considered unclean but I do not think that means that she is sinning. However, the Bible does state that whatever she touches becomes unclean. If a Bible becomes unclean however, is that dishonoring the Bible? I realize this is advanced Biblical issues for most, but I would like to see what others think.
