My mom has a shirley temple doll with a striped purple dress bought last 20 years?

Long story but the paper work was kept but she's upset because the box is gone. She is some what house bound so guessing it was ordered through a catalog. It's blond hair has an apron over a dress it's puple & white can't believe it would be worth that much because it's not old. Does anyone have an idea how I can look it up to ease her mind?
